Never thought I would say this, but: I kind of want to go to...Lanzarote. I can mos def picture myself in this scenery, in the back somewhere handing out peace signs for everyone/anyone. Lanzarote is part of the cultural Mekka of Gran Canaria. The island consists mostly of volcanoes, which have done a great job covering huge areas with lava. Because of the dry weather the apocalyptic look has been perfectly maintained, since a long time...1824 to be precise.
Plan: flight, hiking boots, disposable camera (great picturemaker), sunglasses, followed by pink drinks in a tacky bar where a super local and surprisingly undiscovered band is playing the "best of" - series, entertaining the cultural elite of Scandinavia.
